Mallory earned a BS in biomedical sciences from Shawnee State University, where she undertook research in developmental biology and psychology; she also interned at UW-Madison under Dr. Ophelia Venturelli, studying biological engineering. She then went on to obtain a Master’s in Bacteriology from UW-Madison, studying natural product synthesis in Dr. Michael Thomas’ lab. Her work in the Huynh lab focuses on protein-structure function and the effect on c-di-AMP levels in Listeria monocytogenes.
In her free time, Mallory enjoys writing and reading fiction.
