Biography
Mariana received her BS degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Federal University of Minas Gerais in 2016. She obtained her Animal Science MS and PhD degrees at the same university in 2019 and 2023. During her MS and PhD, she aimed to study and develop new methods and products for controlling the growth of toxigenic fungi and mycotoxins production. Her work in the Huynh lab focuses on the mechanisms of Listeria pathogenesis in the gastrointestinal tract.
